Kopica and Mala Tičarica | Day Hike from Planina Blato | Julian Alps

Starting from Planina Blato, this route passes through two of the most beautiful high pastures in the area, Planina pri Jezeru and Planina Ovčarija, before climbing to Kopica and coming back to Mala Tičarica. The views open up steadily as you gain height, with the Julian Alps stretching out in every direction. The reward at the top is the panorama from Mala Tičarica over the Valley of the Seven Lakes, one of the most striking viewpoints in this part of the range, even with cloud moving through. A great alternative to the busier Triglav approaches, with a real sense of getting into the quieter heart of the Julian Alps.
