Joe Cogbill wins third SCCA National Championship over Rock Vest 1989

Joe Cogbill (Porsche Speedster) and Rock Vest (Datsun 2000) battle for the lead at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Road Atlanta in the fall of 1989. Joe Cogbill won the event beating Rock Vest by only two tenths of a second. Vic Skirmant (Porsche 356) finished in third position. Participants included Bob Studdard (Datsun 2000) Vic Skirmants & Dave Helmick (Porsche 356) Bob Kirby (Porsche 914) Jack Wheeler (Triumph TR4) Hardy Prentice (Triumph TR3) and Jerry Hinckle (Lotus Super Seven)
