Trains at Middlesbrough - 28/05/2016

Filmed at 28/05/2016. (Season 3 Episode 30) See's us taking a trip to the North East, Middlesbrough. Time stint 11:10 to 12:30. At this station we see a variety of First Transpennine Express and Arriva Rail North services heading for a variety of destinations including: Saltburn, Manchester Airport, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Hexham and Nunthorpe. Not forgetting to mention that there are train services to Whitby via the Esk Valley Railway. The branch line operates 4 to 5 trains a day working Middlesbrough to Whitby and return. On Sundays, there are trains from Newcastle to Whitby working as a 4 coach formation. We also see a rail tour, 'Grosmont & Whitby' at Middlesbrough working a charter special to Whitby via Esk Valley Railway and Gosmont for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. A pairing of 47's in charge of this tour in formation of head to tail service. The treason why 47832 was at the rear of the tour is because at Battersby, drivers would have to change for 47852 for Whitby. Worth going to Middlesbrough to see the rail tour. Also at this station, we also get a light shed on a move from Tyne Yard to prepare with a freight train bound for Scunthorpe. The train was running nearly 35 minutes early which was surprising and nearly got caught of guard. A busy station and worth while visiting as a lot of train traffic at this station. ******************************************************************** Thank You For Watching You Can Follow Me On Twitter: @NowisRicky Flickr: ricnowis ©RickyNowisTrainspotting
