Critical Materials Webinar: MPCA / SDK Strategic Services

In 2024, the Minnesota Legislature tasked the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) with convening the Critical Materials Recycling & Recovery Task Force. The Task Force included diverse members from environmental groups, labor, recyclers, solid waste managers and others. Final recommendations were submitted to the Minnesota Legislature at the start of 2026. This webinar gives an overview of the Task Force's key decisions and recommendations, as well as the research that supported its work. Speakers are Moaz Uddin Mian of the Great Plains Institute, a co-chair of the Task Force, and Stephanie Devitt of SDK Strategic Services, who directed the consulting team that provided research and facilitation to the Task Force.
