This episode definitely brings me back in time when I was visiting my friend's house. Plus it's a great comparison between older landed typology versus modern designs. We can now vividly understand why lots of emphasis are placed on cul-de-sac, backlanes, security post, landscape strategy, and etc. These were the pain points for residents back then. Personally, I find the capital appreciation to be amazing. Most likely the previous owner made 3 times the house price but my point is, the shows how infrastructure and amenities creates demand for spaces around a location. Unfortunately its also beyond the affordability of many haha, especially the renovation cost.
