Meralgia Paresthetica (“Numbness of the Thigh”) | Causes, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment Meralgia Paresthetica is a mononeuropathy (one nerve affected) condition involving pain and numbness/tingling sensations of the thigh (mostly on the side). This condition can be caused by a variety of other conditions including obesity, diabetes, and hypothyroidism.
