In the name of the Father, and of the Son ✠, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 🛐 ACT OF CONTRITION Infinitely Merciful God and Lord, without whose help we can do nothing, and our works are worthless, deign, O Lord, to grant that this worship I wish to render to your beloved disciple may be pleasing to you. Do not look, most merciful Lord, upon the gravity of my sins, which I humbly confess to you. Forgive me, O Lord, through the Passion and Death of your Most Holy Son and my sweetest Redeemer, through the tears of his Immaculate Mother, and through the martyrdom of your Apostle, for with all my heart I am sorry for having offended you, for you are infinitely kind, powerful, and just. I would rather die than have offended your immense Majesty; I firmly resolve to amend my life with your grace, which I hope for from your mercy, and to do all that is possible to live and die as a child of Holy Mother Church and a devotee of the Apostle James, and to praise you with him eternally in Glory. Amen. 🙏 Daily Prayer O most faithful disciple of the Divine Master Jesus Christ, who was chosen as one of the first pillars of the Church, through whose preaching and merits the Catholic faith was received and which it hopes to maintain until the end of the world, O Father and protector of all the faithful, acclaimed in all nations, I ask you to obtain for me the graces I so desperately need. Confirm me in the faith and in the holy fear of God that I so greatly need. Intercede for me before the Almighty so that He may grant me the favor I ask of you in this novena, and thus I may have one more reason to give you thanks in Glory. Amen. 4️⃣ FOURTH DAY Most beloved Minister of the Supreme Majesty of God, and so favored by the Sovereign Jesus, who did not wish to manifest on earth the Glory of His wondrous Transfiguration without your participation in it, I earnestly beseech you, by that joy you experienced on Mount Tabor, when you saw there, reduced to a brief map, eternal blessedness, that just as, to ascend to the summit where you deserved to enjoy it, you united yourself with self-denial, contempt for the world, and a surrendered obedience to the precepts of Jesus Christ, by the same means I may be prepared to receive from the Lord a light, with which I may more clearly know and contemplate in this life His perfections and most sublime attributes, so that, ever more enamored of that incomprehensible beauty, I may despise for it all the delights that the earth can offer me, and place all my efforts on attaining those of the Lord. Heaven. Amen. 🛐 State the grace you wish to receive through this novena, if it is for the glory of God and the good of your soul, and pray three Our Fathers, Hail Marys, and Glory Be's. 🙏 FINAL PRAYER God, we beseech you to grant us, through the protection of your beloved Apostle, that we may come to enjoy eternal peace.
