Galveston, Texas. June 19, 1865. The order goes out: all slaves are free. But that word was two and a half years late. The decree had been signed — they just hadn't heard it yet. Drawing from Galatians 5 and John 8, this message unfolds three truths about a freedom bigger than choices: Freedom Begins with Leaving — you can't leave the chains you won't name Freedom Means Belonging — real freedom isn't no master; it's the right Master Freedom Is for Serving — you were freed to wash feet, freed to carry somebody, freed to love The cross is your Emancipation Proclamation, signed in the blood of Jesus. The order has been read. So the question isn't will you be free — it's whether you'll walk into the freedom that's already yours.
