G4 Icons Season 4 Episode 9 - Xbox 360 (2005)
The Playstation 3 and Wii were good but not good enough to bring the 360 to its knees. No, the 360 tended to bring its own self to its knees represented by the infamous red ring of death. Despite the failure rate of earlier units, which with a quick google seems it was at least 30%, Microsoft had a little-to-no questions asked return policy that helped retain its reputation and saved the company from a fate that could've bankrupted a lesser company. And to be fair, the Playsation 3 also had its own equivalent to a lesser degree, the yellow light of death. The 360 had a rough start but it still maintained a good lead in sales over the Wii and PS3 for a lot of its life although all three consoles in the end ran a very close race. Sorry about the video quality. The source 240p quality isn't bad but youtube likes to re-encode it even more.
