Route 33: Lothian Buses: 608 (SJ21MYK) Volvo B5TL/ ADL Enviro400MMC

After the intense long weekend spent in glorious Yorkshire, travelling on public and preserved buses alike, it was time to take advantage of being up north to go on an excursion a bit further, so up to Scotland I went to spend some wonderful time in the city of Edinburgh. Today marks one of two videos from native operator Lothian, so let's start with B5TL 608. 608 - SK21MYK represents an order of 98 ADL Enviro400MMC bodied Volvo B5TLs, the first 30, of which 608 is part being new to Longstone garage to displace older Volvo B9TLs. Photo evidence shows 608 predominantly running on routes 3, 25, 33, 34, 35 & 44. It is also my understanding that (at time of upload) Lothian are currently the only operator of the B5TL MMC. Route 33 runs from Wester Hailes, Harvesters Way to Millerhill, Old Craighall Road via Hailesand Road, Longstone, HMP Edinburgh, Stenhouse, Dalry, Haymarket, Princes Street, Newington, Cameron Toll, Royal Infirmary & Danderhall. This comprises an easterly running service to Millerhill. 608 is powered by a Volvo D5K-240 engine coupled to a ZF EcoLife 6AP1003B 6-speed automatic gearbox. Something new for you, enjoy!
