Mariano Sigman demonstrates and proposes, through his live experiments, how interacting and making decisions as a group can help us build a better society and future. Mariano, a physicist and neuroscientist, is revolutionizing the cognitive neuroscience of learning and decision-making with his research and experiments. An Argentinian who recently settled in Madrid, he is the founder of the Integrative Neuroscience Laboratory in the Physics Department at the University of Buenos Aires. His work was recognized and awarded in 2016 by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, and he has also received other accolades such as the Human Frontiers Career Development Award, the National Prize of Physics, the Young Investigator Prize of the Collège de France, and the IBM Scalable Data Analytics Award. He investigates thought, memory, dreams, emotions, and consciousness. A revolutionary new way of looking at neuroscience, which he shares in his book "The Secret Life of the Mind," where he explains how we perceive, reason, feel, dream, and communicate.
