I'd been staring at this wall for a while now, knowing I needed to do something about it. There seemed to be some space, a TV, and some equipment nearby, but the whole area felt unassembled. It wasn't exactly bad, but it was always catching my eye. I wanted to install some proper furniture to provide storage and make the room look neater. I didn't want regular wall units at all: they're too massive, too visually heavy, and they often look like they were brought from an apartment from the early 2000s. Open shelving units weren't suitable either, as they quickly become a display of wires, boxes, and random items. Ultimately, I settled on RIDBERG metal loft furniture. In this video, I assemble several modules at once: the DENVER loft shelving unit module 2, the DENVER loft shelving unit module 1, the CHICAGO loft shelving unit with 6 shelves, and the CHICAGO low double shelving unit with 3 shelves. The materials here are simple and straightforward: laminated chipboard and metal. Nothing magical, but this combination was exactly what I needed. I show how it all arrives, how it's assembled, and what the result looks like after installation in the room. Assembly was stress-free. I'm not saying you can scatter the parts on the floor and have a finished piece of furniture in five minutes—no, it takes a reasonable amount of time. This is especially true when you're assembling not just one shelving unit, but several modules at once. But the design itself is clear, the parts fit together well, and I didn't encounter any strange decisions that would make me want to give up halfway through. There were no unpleasant surprises in terms of quality either. The metal frame looks neat, the laminated chipboard looks good, and after assembly, the furniture doesn't feel like a temporary solution. It's not like you assembled it, looked at it, and immediately realized you'd want to replace it in six months. On the contrary, the space finally looks finished.
