Synth Stuff Ep. 27 - Kawai K4
My favorite synth from Kawai! These are cheap and, in my opinion, incredibly underrated. In 1989, This was a cheaper alternative to the Roland D-50 and Korg M1 that were all the rage. Compared to those synths, it has a bit more of a lo-fi quality. It is, however, a step up from the K1. It has a similar sound engine but adds a digital filter, drums, and built-in effects. It has some absolutely beautiful digital sounds and it's worth investigating if you want some of that flavor in your arsenal. Of course, I had to include the K1 in the frame!
