Solo EX Elderfrost Gammoth (Valor GS) [MHGU]

Elderfrost is a really, really frustrating monster in general. With over 27,000 HP, you're not going to kill it in any reasonable amount of time if you're just hitting the forelegs even if they are a 40 sever hitzone, so you had better pick a weapon with good vertical reach. The set I'm using is an insanely unoptimized Neset one since I needed to put Tremor Res onto a GS set somehow and I don't have a good enough charm to get it onto Black X with crit boost (blightproof would have been a godsend). The worst move she has is the sweeping trunk move which basically turns the entire front half of her entire body (outside of a TINY area under her head) into an active hitbox which is what killed me like 90% of the time. Once you know that she almost always combos into that after the snowball slap n toss she becomes a lot more manageable. The double trunk slam is another tricky one, since running back in to bait the second slam can get you windpressured. The trick is that you HAVE to run in the direction you end up facing after the wind pressure animation--trying to turn around will lock you into the walking speed turn animation and get you hit as a result, so just don't choke and try to turn around.
