Private Security Regulatory Authority to allow guards to carry firearms
Private security guards manning public places will now be licensed to carry fire arms while on duty after a fresh training. Private Security Regulatory Authority CEO, Fazul Mohamed, says all employees in security firms will undergo vetting and fire arms will only be given to specific security officers.
