We hesitated about whether to make this video. Today we visit the former S-21 Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh and the infamous Killing Fields, two places that left an indelible impression on us. What was once an ordinary school was converted into a prison during the Pol Pot regime, where thousands of people were incarcerated. Afterwards, we travel on to the Killing Fields, where the horrific consequences of this dark period in Cambodian history are still visible. This is not a typical YouTube Donkeys episode full of adventure, markets, and good food. It is an episode about history, remembrance, and respect. A story that shows what people are capable of, but also why it is important never to forget these events.
