The first point of comparison is population and urban density. Jakarta, as the capital of Indonesia, is one of the most densely populated cities in the world, home to over ten million people within the city proper, and traffic congestion is a daily reality. In contrast, Bandung, though still a large city, has a noticeably smaller population and a more relaxed pace of life. Whereas Jakarta's streets are often filled with honking cars from dawn until midnight, Bandung's neighborhoods, especially in the northern hills, remain comparatively quiet.
