Plänterwald Berlin im Sommer, 1982

The "Spreepark im Plänterwald" is opened in 1969 for the 20th anniversary of the GDR. It is the first and only amusement park in East-Berlin. Rollercoaster, ferris wheels, ghost trains, autoscooter - everything a heart wants and more, in East-Berlin. Till the shut of the wall in 1989, the "Spreepark" remains a popular place for parents and their children. For financial reasons, the amusement park closes its doors. Since 2002, the former amusement park in Berlin's district Treptow-Köpenick has been fallow.
