설악산 권금성 트래킹 ('26.7.13일)

Following the trekking at Achimgari Valley in Inje the previous day, we moved to Seorak-dong last Monday morning and trekked to Gwongeumseong Fortress in Mt. Seorak. We passed through the Mt. Seorak ticket office for free, arrived at the Gwongeumseong Cable Car, and rode up for about 4 minutes. (Cable car fare: 16,000 won per person) The course from the upper cable car station to Gwongeumseong Fortress is a short one, taking about 6 minutes on foot. Gwongeumseong Fortress derives its name from a fortress built during the Silla and Goryeo dynasties, but no fortress remains today. This is the rocky peak area at the end of the ridge descending from Hwachae Peak. In the distance, the Gongryom Ridge and the ridge leading to Hwangcheolbong Peak are visible, and beyond the rocky peaks directly in front lies Cheonbuldong Valley.
