Unangenehme Wikinger auf Mittelaltermärkten – was läuft da schief?!

I need to vent today… As someone who reenacts Vikings myself, I love medieval markets, reenactment, and the whole scene. But I keep noticing something that honestly really bothers me: Why is it that some "Viking" reenactors are so often the ones who stand out negatively? Rude behavior, lack of respect, questionable portrayals… and in the end, visitors think THAT'S exactly what's "typical Viking." And that hurts all of us who really put in the effort. It's important to me: This is NOT about badmouthing everyone. There are so many incredibly wonderful, respectful, and authentic people out there. But that's precisely why we also need to talk about those who stand out negatively. What do you think? Have you had similar experiences—or completely different ones? Be sure to write them in the comments—I'm curious to hear your opinions! Are you looking for bloodthirsty Viking clothing or handmade wooden products like mead cups, etc.? ...
