BenQ W1070 DLP Projector Repair / No Light-HDMI Issue Part 1

This BenQ W1070 was sent to me by a viewer who had been trying to get it up and running after it stopped working properly one day. The initial symptoms seemed to be color wheel related. After replacing the color wheel there was no improvement. Once I started to look at it, I found a few little things but I mostly realized the issue was not the color wheel but a power problem. There was no 5V to the color wheel sensor which is shared with other components in the mainboard. The lack of proper 5V, caused the color wheel to act like it was bad. The chip I changed was a ADV7612BSWZ HDMI chip. I tried to use a lamp that I had sitting around but it seems too far gone. I will be rebuilding that lamp as a test lamp. This is a more uncommon but realistic issue. We suspect the projector was damaged by a power surge that entered via the HDMI port. There will be a short part 3 once the new part arrives.
