BenQ HT1085ST DLP Projector No Light

This BenQ HT1085ST DLP Projector was sent it after the owner was unable to get the lamp to light. The color wheel was cleaned but the lamp would not ignite after the fact. A new lamp was tried to rule that out but it made no difference. The issue ended up being the color wheel sensor connector. The solder had pulled free and was no longer recognizing the index mark. I suspect the error lights at the beginning indicate a color wheel failure rather than a lamp failure. Being that I don't have a service manual for this one, I did not want to assume it was the same as the W1070 but in retrospect, I probably can. Next time I get an HT1085ST, I will use the W1070 service manual and see how close it is. Also, I decided to try a slightly different format for the video. I went a little more stream of thought. I figured it might be interesting or helpful to see where I start and where I end up in my diagnosis and how I get there. My initial thought of the ballast or power supply ended up being entirely incorrect, but I did find my way to the problem so maybe this will help others with their own troubleshooting methodology.
