Spectacular Flight Around Mount Cook, New Zealand

Join us as we take off on an afternoon flight from Tekapo airport, and experience what it's like to fly up and around Mount Cook, in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Some of the places you will see are Lake Tekapo, Godley Glacier, Murchison Glacier, Fox Glacier, Tasman Glacier, and of course Mount Cook itself. Look at Mount Cook from just over twelve thousand feet,(3657 metres) as we circle New Zealands highest mountain. A running commentary by pilot Tim Rayward makes the flight very interesting as he tells us exactly where we are during the flight. It was his father, Richard Rayward who started Air Safaris back in the 1970s. So they know the area very well. See if you can spot the tiny speck of an aircraft that crosses from right to left at the 13:08 part in the video. That is the aircraft that Tim Rayward was talking to on the radio at that point.
