Citizen Scientists - Afon Llynfi

River guardians. A short film looking at citizen scientists working on the Afon Llynfi in Wales. Friends of the Upper Wye is a CIO set up in response to the pollution crisis facing the river Wye. Here we meet a tributary team of volunteers trained in citizen science who undertake regular water quality monitoring of the Avon Llynfi, a river that runs into the Wye just above Glasbury and that suffered a horrendous pollution spill in 2022. Hear about their motivations for helping Friends of the Upper Wye and see the beautiful stretches of river they are fighting to protect.
