🔧 I Turned a Rock & Roll Bed Kit Into a Custom VW Bus Seat 🚌 After a few weeks of planning, measuring, and researching, it's finally time to tackle one of the biggest interior upgrades on my 1963 Volkswagen Bus! What started as a universal Rock & Roll bed kit quickly turned into a full custom fabrication project. Nothing about this was a simple bolt-in installation. The frame had to be cut to the correct width, carefully aligned, fully welded for strength, and custom-fitted to the bus before it could finally come to life. Instead of relying on self-tapping screws like I've seen in some installs, every structural joint on this frame is fully welded. The result is a solid, factory-feeling seat that transforms into a full bed in seconds. This is a huge milestone in the restoration, and seeing the empty interior finally begin to look like a camper makes all the work worth it.
