U2 - Live in Chicago, 21 March 1985

U2 U2 U2 Tour:    • The Unforgettable Fire Tour (1984 - 1985)   | Leg 5: North America Date: 21 March 1985 Venue: University of Illinois Pavillion City: Chicago, Illinois, USA Used recording(s): • Audience recording (A-): EAC ► FLAC This is the first of two nights in Chicago halfway through the second North American 'Unforgettable Fire' Tour. Edge and Larry can be heard tuning their instruments while the opening tape is playing over the PA. Their performance is incredibly energetic even though Bono's voice fails him a few times, mainly on the usual stuff like falsetto or the choruses of 'Bad' while allowing him to belt out incredible notes left and right. The band are joined by their support band, Red Rockers, during a fantastic "40". The setlist is pretty standard for the tour and includes a cover of Bob Dylan's 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door' during the encore. CBS News filmed parts of the show but only 'Wire' was later broadcasted and Bono greets them during 'I Will Follow'. 00:00:00 - 01. 4th of July (tape) 00:01:17 - 02. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock 00:06:00 - 03.
