Outer Hebrides Sea Kayak Expedition July 2021 (Day 3) Circumnavigation of Mingulay and Berneray
Day 3 of our Outer Hebrides trip and our main objective was to leave Mingulay Bay in empty boats and circumnavigate Berneray rounding Barra Head and Skate point, crossing the Sound of Berneray to explore the exposed West side of Mingulay including the huge arches and gullies of Arnamul, Gunamul and Lianamul, circumnavigating Mingulay to return to the safety of our campsite in Mingulay Bay. Sadly it was a trip for just Bob Evans and I as Mike Nelson decided he would rest an ongoing neck/shoulder problem so he decided to stay on Mingulay to walk and take photos of the Island.
