Chester Zoo has just opened its HUGE new Heart of Africa exhibit — and we were among the first to check it out! This massive 22-ACRE habitat is home to some of Africa’s most iconic animals, including giraffes, zebras, painted dogs, meerkats, and a Hidden Savannah featuring species we’ve never seen before. There’s even a whole exhibit about poo… no, literally! Not only is this Chester Zoo’s largest habitat ever, it’s also the BIGGEST zoo exhibit in the UK! At the heart of it is the Savannah — a vast open space where four species coexist in one incredible ecosystem. If you thought Chester Zoo peaked with the Islands, just wait until you see this! Outside of the new exhibit, we’re also on a mission to spot the rare baby sifaka — one of the most endangered lemur species, known for leaping instead of running. Will we find it?
