Exploring Heart of Africa at Chester Zoo - Stunning NEW Exhibit!

For three years Chester Zoo has been building the new Heart of Africa exhibit to showcase the brand new savannah mixed species exhibit and provide fantastic new facilities for the animals. We booked a members preview day to explore everything, see all the new species and some old favourites and try out the new food. Come along as we say hello to giraffes, zebra, ostrich, snakes, locusts and naked mole rats! Heart of Africa is open from today (5th April 2025) for all guests!
