This time, we'll be bringing you three stories! On September 8th, the town held its first-ever disaster prevention drill at Tsubetsu Elementary School's gymnasium and community center. Tents were actually set up and evacuation shelters were opened. With the cooperation of the Self-Defense Forces and fire department, participants saw an exhibition of various disaster response equipment and experienced a training session cooking meals for 250 people. We also introduced a newly completed water tank on high ground. We'll also be bringing you coverage of the "Furusato Festival," held for the first time in five years.
