Wandern in der Schweiz: 3 schöne Orte in Graubünden

Best of Switzerland in Graubünden: A hiking trip through Switzerland to three particularly beautiful places, including Lake Älplisee in Arosa, the Sertigtal Valley in Davos, and a ridge hike in Lenzerheide. I've been skiing before, but never in Switzerland in the summer. So I'm curious to see what the mountains, which I find so impressive in winter, look like without snow. This trip begins with a train ride. We'll travel back and forth between the towns using public transport. This is, of course, better for the environment; no one has to drive, and we can enjoy the Swiss mountain landscape. While the trains don't travel particularly fast, the route passes waterfalls, mountain lakes, and quaint villages. The first tour leads to Lake Älplisee above Arosa. It's said to be one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Switzerland. We climb, cross riverbeds, and pass the beautiful Lake Schwellisee. Now I'm even more excited about Lake Älplisee. Nestled between mountains, the lake glistens in the high sun. Snow still covers the left shore. To the right, the meadow is lush green. The water is truly cold. Perfect for cooling your feet. Another beautiful hike leads from peak to peak on the other side of the mountain range in Lenzerheide. There, we first take the cable car up to Piz Scalottas and hike across a scenic ridge to Piz Danis. From here, we have a fantastic view of Lenzerheide, Lake Heidsee, the Parpanher Rothorn, and the Lenzerhorn. On the other side, we can see the Engadin and the mountains of Flims-Laax. In Davos-Klosters, the third tour doesn't climb another mountain, but descends into a valley. Instead, we start at the Rinerhorn, enjoy the view of the rugged Amselfluh, as well as the famous ski mountains Weißfluhgipfel and Jakobshorn, and then hike steadily downhill through thriving vegetation. I'm getting to know a few new plants along the way. For example, wood sorrel. It has a slightly lemony flavor. The goal of the tour is, after all, the impressive waterfall at the end of the valley.
