Here's a sewing tool that you've probably not seen before
We're making a traditional square sail for our Kerry curach, so of course we're sewing it almost entirely by hand. Hand-sewing is quieter, cordless and - believe it or don't - a proper hand-sewn seam is stronger than the machine-sewn equivalent. I'm aided in this by my harness-maker's palm - a wonderfully-elegant and practical tool. Follow us on FaceBook!
