Climate Smart Cut Flower Production with Climate Specialist Zach Spangler from Harvest NY
Cut flower growers face a range of current and anticipated challenges related to climate change, in addition, some practices can help in the broader fight on climate change. In this session, we will examine impacts of climate change, practices that reduce the risks posed by climate change, and how to highlight climate-smart practices in marketing. Zach Spangler is an Ag Climate Resiliency Specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension's Harvest New York team. His work supports farmers’ efforts to contribute to climate change mitigation, improve their ability to respond to stresses, and adapt to changing climate patterns while maintaining or improving farm viability. This webinar is part of a six-week production risk management series funded by a Northeast Extension Risk Management Education grant.
