Traditional Japanese New Year with My Family-in-Law in Nara!

As 2021 transitioned into 2022, Keiji and I found ourselves in Nara at our family home, immersing ourselves in the myriad Japanese traditions that herald the New Year. I feel incredibly fortunate to witness and experience these customs so personally in Japan. Big thanks to my amazing family in Nara for allowing me to share this experience.
