Best Routine for Yoga Practice | Meghan Currie Yoga

I would love to hear from you! ---------- Hi, everyone! A few times, I’ve been asked by students and members what is the best way to establish a routine for yoga practice. Questions such as "when's the best time to practice?", and "how intense should my practice be?" are common ones. My personal experience is that the mornings are really the best time to practice yoga, as it helps to set my body, mind, and intention for the rest of the day. But it doesn't always work for me, and it might now work for everybody. You know that I believe we are all unique and each of our body's intelligence knows more than we think. So the best way to find a routine that works for us, I'd say is to experiment with it; try out different times of the day, try out different intensity levels of practice, try out taking a few days breaks between practices. Observe how you feel after each practice and throughout the day. Also, try to inquire into what drives us to want to establish our practice a certain way. Then, note all of that down; collect data. This will help us form a clear picture of what works for us and within our lifestyle. What you might find out is that actually you'll start to feel more energized and motivated in your yoga routine by finding the rhythm that works for you.
