Berlin School Experiment 9 (Streichfett, Volca Bass, Beats)

A small variation on the traditional Berlin School arrangement. This time, I added a drum Machine, which is both completely unnecessary (indeed the 3 tracks played by the Volca Beats were overdubbed at a latter stage), and also essential for the vision of a mechanical society I wanted to convey. Because this is perhaps one of the few Berlin Schools Experiments which was not recorded in one take, the footage is only of the "main session" where I play the Streichfett and the Volca Bass (bth from the PCR-500 in split mode and with a sustain pedal controlling the sustain on the Streichfett). The audio was recorded in ardour, and for the first time I strongly recommend using headphones or speakers capable of reproducing frequencies in the 50-100Hz range... when I played this track on my day-to-day speakers I could not hear a thing of the kick drum.
