Perdida de aceite en árbol de levas del Motor K4M Symbol video 2

Okay folks, besides the videos, I'm doing this general summary of what they say. This tutorial is for fixing oil leaks in the camshafts of a Symbol's K4M engine. I had a lot of oil loss. Previously, I installed Corteco brand seals, which were expensive because they were sold to me as original parts, but I couldn't fix the leak. I should clarify that this leak is caused by wear on both the camshafts and the cylinder head where they sit, due to use, poor quality oil, and not changing the oil on time. Anyway, mine are very worn out. The solution is as follows: we disassemble and remove the camshafts. As I explained in the previous video, the worn seats, especially the last one where the seal goes, cause play in the bearings, making the camshaft vibrate. Because of this, the seal can't hold the oil, the oil pump keeps pumping pressure, and oil accumulates between the seal and the cylinder head wall. Since the oil flow to the main bearing has no return path, it tends to escape through the seal. What I did was drill a hole in that wall and underneath the main bearing, as seen in the video. This prevents pressure from building up in this small chamber and oil accumulation. The oil then flows back into the cover. I also installed Sabo seals and polished the camshaft where the seal sits with 1000-grit sandpaper. This solved the problem.
