This distinguished thriller from James Bridges stars Jane Fonda as a local TV news reporter determined to get to the bottom of an incident that erupts at a nuclear power plant while she covers a story on energy sources. Jack Lemmon and Michael Douglas co-star in this exciting picture. Columbia Pictures Home Entertainment #VH10140 COMMENT: I initially had trouble seeing the closed captions, because the only DVD drive I had was the one that was part of my HP desktop computer, and the PowerDVD program I was using then failed to properly decode the captions on the disc. This initially led me to conclude that the sticker, which had promised captions, was fraudulent. However, while transferring the tape again, I found that there indeed were captions on there. I just didn't see them when I transferred the tape the first time. Actually, now I have two transfers of the tape: one I did in 2021 and one I did in 2024. I checked the earlier one, which I used for the upload of the opening and closing to this tape, and I found that the captions were also on the tape then. Boy, was I asleep at the wheel there.
