In this video we tell you how to get to Tagua Tagua Park in southern Chile. The park is located in the Los Lagos region, approximately 120 kilometers southeast of Puerto Montt and 100 kilometers east of Puerto Varas, this spectacular park offers a unique experience in the middle of the exuberant Chilean nature. To get there, you have two options: from Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas, take Route 225 and then Route V-69 from Ensenada, or you can opt for Route 7, which marks the beginning of the famous Carretera Austral, and cross by ferry the Reloncaví estuary. Once in Puelo, continue along Route V-721 until you reach Lake Tagua Tagua. Within the park, well-marked trails await you through native forests, impressive waterfalls, and panoramic viewpoints offering spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of the Andes. In addition, you can enjoy activities such as trekking, kayaking, fishing and camping in direct contact with nature. If you decide to stay longer, the park offers lodging options including camping or staying in one of their lodges. One of the best known is the Alerce Shelter, which is named after the most emblematic native tree in the area. This refuge has comfortable facilities, a shared kitchen and common areas where visitors can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the natural environment, with the Alerce lagoon being the finishing touch to this park.
