Pumpkin Crunch Dump Cake with Cake Mix is too easy to taste this good. This is a wonderful holiday dessert. Please forgive parts of the video vibrating, my new phone is still acting up. . This is without a doubt my favorite pumpkin dessert. **a sub told me if you plan to invert the cake onto a platter the definitely grease and flour the surface**** Pumpkin Crunch Dump Cake 1 can plain pumpkin 12 oz. can evaporated milk 1 cup granulated  sugar 4 room temperature eggs ( beat with a fork separately then add) 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice or a cinnamon, nutmeg, clove mixture. I only had cinnamon and nutmeg and used 1/2 tsp each 1 box yellow cake mix or spice cake mix -1 1/2 cup chopped pecans baked into cake 1/2 cup chpd pecans to top off the icing. omit nuts if allergic 1 cup melted butter Cream Cheese Topping 1 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 8 oz. cool whip or Use real cream and make your own, or Dream Whip. I used Cool Whip 1 tsp vanilla Mix together canned pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, pumpkin pie spice and salt. ( I accidentally added 2 sticks of melted butter here 😅 luckily the cake was still a huge hit. it is a hard cake to ruin) Pour this mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle dry cake mix over pumpkin mixture in the pan. Do not stir. Sprinkle with the 1 and 1/2 cup pecans. Do not stir. Pour melted butter evenly over the whole pan. Do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Let cool. Mix together very soft cream cheese, powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla with a spoon. chill while cake cools. Spread over cooled cake , sprinkle 1/2 c chpd pecans over icing, store in the fridge.
