Mountains Community Resource Network Funding Cut
Mountains Community Resource Network (MCRN) has supported the Blue Mountains Community Sector for over 40 years. As the peak organisation MCRN has played a role in spearheading critical sector projects; advocating on behalf of place-based community organisations; facilitated successful interagency groups that help to coordinate services in a disparate peri-urban community; and have led key disaster preparedness, resilience and recovery projects. MCRN's future is at risk due to recent funding cuts which have caused this organisation to drastically reduce it's service offerings, as well as consider closing it's doors - a decision that will leave this otherwise thriving community sector without a peak organisation, without an independent and representative voice.
