MACV-SOG: 1968 “All were wounded. Half were killed” Trail of Blood Part 2. By 1968 SOG’s recon teams had discovered the workings of the Ho Chi Minh Trail in the Laotian Panhandle. Without any official announcement their mission changed from strategic reconnaissance to tactical harassment. Now teams were inserted near the enemy’s base camps and transit routes. Contact was a given and SOG paid a terrible price. This video was produced and narrated by a MACV-SOG veteran.
