There were no other units in Vietnam like the LRRPs (Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol aka LURPs). These small elite teams of specially trained personnel engaged in guerrilla warfare, on the ground in enemy territory. They performed reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition.
