The Diamond and 1 Zone Defense is when you have 4 players in a zone and 1 player in man to man, which is very similar to the box and 1. In the Diamond and 1 your 4 other zone players will be in a diamond with 1 player guarding the point, 1 player guarding the post, and 1 player guarding each wing.
