José de Nebra: Works for Keyboard | Irene Roldán · MarchVivo

José de Nebra was one of the composers who coexisted with Domenico Scarlatti in mid 18th-century Madrid. Known for his sacred and theatrical music, Nebra's keyboard music unfortunately comes to us in the form of fragmentary and late sources of uncertain attribution. In the 1980s, an autograph manuscript was found containing eight keyboard symphonies which opens the door to world first recordings such as this one.
