The European Commission has slammed Pakistan for failing to protect minor girls and religious minorities. The EU has passed a resolution calling out the Pakistani establishment for failing to prevent abductions, conversations and forceful marriages of girls in Pakistan. This comes after a 13-year-old Christian girl was abduced and forcefully married to her Kidnapper in Lahore. Every year, more than 1,000 minor girls face such atrocities with 75% of them being Hindus and 25% being Christians. Minor Sikh girls also face similar atrocities in Pakistan where religious minorities have shrunk from 24% to just 4% today.
