A convicted child rapist has become the centre of an extraordinary diplomatic dispute between the United Kingdom and Pakistan. Shabir Ahmed, one of the ringleaders of the Rochdale grooming gang convicted of 30 child sex offences, cannot be easily deported despite losing his British citizenship.
