This presentation will focus on the daily activities of a risk manager within a hospital system. The discussion will focus around risk management and patient safety, root causes, emergency management, safety and security, and dealing with safety standards for not only the board of public health visits, but also HFAP and JCAHO standards upon inspections at hospital and clinical levels. The presentation will conclude with some suggestions and experiences in handling risk management issues within the hospital setting.
