Do's and Don'ts for what to Wear on a Film Set

This video contains b-roll footage from "Broken", a short film directed by Elie Pleticha, with costumes by me, and the footage itself was shot by the marvelous Lilly Allman! You can watch it here:    • Broken: A Short Film   Have a film project/job coming up? Not sure what's appropriet to wear? Or even what you should even consider to wear? Don't worry, I've got you covered. Today I'm sharing the Do's and Don'ts of what to wear when you're working on set. I've worked on many film shoots in all kinds of weather. Most of the days are long (think 12+ hour days, and that's just the time spent on set), in extreme hot or cold weather, and on top of all that you're exhausted. I know, I'm making this sound really fun. But I love it! Wearing the right clothes can make the shoot better or... worse. Which is why I put together this video going over clothes, something you don't hear talked about as much as I think you should. I'm Tiana Blanchard, and I'm a Seamstress and Costume Designer. I've been a film maker since I was in my teens, and a seamstress for almost just as long. My ventures into costuming began with Cosplay, which lead to historical costuming, which lead to costuming in film and theatre.
