Discover Business Class Fort Myers–Frankfurt: Besser als erwartet – trotzdem nicht ihr Geld wert

Discover Airlines Business Class from Fort Myers to Frankfurt – and this time I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by the flight itself. More space, a better reclining position, significantly more comfortable sleep, and even dinner was good. Based on my previous experiences with Discover, I hadn't expected that. The aircraft and the sleeping comfort on this overnight flight were truly better than anticipated. But then came breakfast – and that's precisely where Discover messed things up again. No more scrambled eggs, hardly any selection, croissants or rolls only available upon request. And later, I even saw jam and Nutella in the back, which hadn't even been offered to me beforehand. It's not about the fact that something might run out occasionally. That can happen. It's about how a business class passenger is then treated and whether reasonable alternatives are offered. With prices ranging from around $4,000 to sometimes $7,000 for a business class flight, I simply expect more. Discover can charge these prices primarily because they fly nonstop from South Florida to Frankfurt. But simply being able to fly nonstop isn't enough for me when the service and attention on board fluctuate so much. My honest conclusion: The seat, the space, and the sleeping were good this time. Dinner was also good. But with breakfast and the service, Discover once again demonstrates why I don't think this high price is justified.
